Abigail is a compassionate and experienced therapist with a Master of Social Work degree from Carleton University. She brings over a decade of dedication to supporting children, youth, and adults from diverse backgrounds—always with empathy, cultural awareness, and a deep respect for each person’s journey.
Her expertise includes working with newcomers to Canada, individuals with intellectual disabilities, and those navigating mental health challenges, trauma, and substance use. Abigail has also supported families involved with child protective services and worked closely with men facing charges related to domestic violence and sexual offenses.
With a strong interest in forensic psychiatry, Abigail integrates her knowledge of criminal justice, corrections, and mental health to offer thoughtful, trauma-informed care. She is passionate about helping clients build resilience and develop practical coping strategies during life’s most difficult transitions.
Throughout her career, Abigail has walked alongside first responders, survivors of domestic violence, BIPOC individuals healing from trauma, and families seeking stability and support. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing—all delivered through a strengths-based, client-centered lens.
